Well done to our club athletes on their performances on Sunday in inter counties at Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath. The county men’s team finished 5th team overall. For LAC Pauric McKinney (26th), competing in his 20th successive inter counties, led the way followed by Kieran Doherty ( 27th), Gary Crossan (53rd), Michael Black (59th) and Ciaran Sullivan (74th) acquitting himself very well in his first county vest.
In the Junior men our talented Christopher Johnston (17th) and Darren McBrearty (22nd) helped the team secure silver medals. Michelle English ran a very strong race in the junior women’s 4k in what his first race back in six months. She finished an impressive 11th place. Our own Vice-Captain, Maria McCambridge (13th) was a member of the Dublin team that won the women’s team title.
The lotto numbers numbers last weekend were 7, 20, 21 and 3.Match Three winners were Irene McFadden, Roisin Ni Chuireain and Paddy Gaffney. The jackpot this Saturday night in The Glencar Inn will be 1,470 euro.
The club is hosting our annual Fashion Show in Gallagher’s Hotel, Letterkenny on Thursday, November 26 at 8pm. This promises to be a great night’s entertainment and fundraiser for the club., Sharon Bradley, is busy putting the final touches together for the night and anyone that can be of assistance should contact her on 087-7956001. The admission fee is €10.
Another few dates for the diary include the annual Goal Mile Challenge on December 17, the Turkey Trot on December 20 and the annual Church Gate Collection on December 26-27. The presentation of medals to our masters national marathon team is being arranged and a date is to be confirmed to coincide with the donations to the Donegal Diabetes Federation.
