Letterkenny AC Club Notes

THE club is hosting our annual Fashion Show in Gallagher’s Hotel, Letterkenny on Thursday, November 26 at 8pm. This promises to be a great night’s entertainment and fundraiser for the club., Sharon Bradley, is busy putting the final touches together for the night and anyone that can be of assistance should contact her on 087-7956001. The admission fee is €10.

Another few dates for the diary include the annual Goal Mile Challenge on December 17, the Turkey Trot on December 20 and the annual Church Gate Collection on December 26-27. The presentation of medals to our masters national marathon team is being arranged and a date is to be confirmed to coincide with the donations to the Donegal Diabetes Federation.

Well done to our mens team who won the Ulster Novice title in Fintra, Killybegs, on Sunday. This was a fantastic win for us and follows up on our success in the same grade last year.

The four scorers were: Danny Mooney (4th), Ciaran O’Sullivan (8th), Gavin Crawford (12th) and Charlie Page (18th). They were ably supported by Adrian Callaghan and Aidan McKenna. Well done to all the lads on a great run.

Congratulations to Darren McBrearty who was 9th in a Junior International Cross Country Race in Belgium. Our best wishes also go to our Vice-Captain, Maria McCambridge who has been nominated for the Athletics Ireland Cross Country and Road athlete of the year award on Saturday night in Dublin.

Gary Crossan and Ciaran Doherty will travel to a Masters International in Birmingham on Saturday and we wish both well. The lotto numbers drawn on Saturday night;

The lotto numbers drawn last Saturday night were 3, 11, 16 and 22. There was no jackpot winner. Four people had match two numbers-. They were; Edel Davenport, Bernard Peoples, Mark Hegarty and Gerry O’Donnell. The jackpot this weekend in The Glencar Inn is 1, 450 euro.
