HSE take team titles in hugely successful interfirms 5K

The HSE teams took victory in both the men’s and women’s team categories in last night’s hugely successful Hickey Clarke and Langan 5K Road Race hosted by Letterkenny Athletic Club.
162 took part in what was the third round of the grand prix road series and this was the biggest field the race, first held in 1978, attracted since the early eighties.
The HSE men’s team was made up of Ciaran Bannon, Ciaran Higgins and Louis Bradley. Teresa McGloin, who was the first woman home in 17:25 led the HSE women’s team to victory, with Vera Haughey and Mary Bond being the other counters.
Kieran Carlin was first runner home in a time of 15:44 from Collie Roberts in 15:48 and Ivan Toner in 16:08.
