Letterkenny AC Club Notes
May 2010
Well done to Patrick Brennan on winning Sunday's North West 10k road race in Letterkenny.
Patrick led home a strong charge of black and amber vests in a personal best time of 32:05, with club mates Pauric McKinney second in 32:28 and Kieran Doherty third in 34:27. The club had over 60 runners in action and a number of personal bests were recorded. Well done to all and keep up the good work.
Maria McCambridge was runner-up in the Belfast Marathon on Monday in a time of 2:59. In his first time over the distance, novice runner, Gavin Walker also posted a time of 2:59 in Belfast.
Next up on the local scene is the Ballyshannon 5K tomorrow night, Friday, which has a 7.30 pm start. Letterkenny will host the inter-firms 5K road race on Tuesday week, May 18th. Given the large turnout on Sunday for the first race of the new grand prix season, a large entry is expected.
There was no winner of the club's weekly jackpot drawn in the Glencar Inn 6, 17, 20 and 22. Mickey Black was the only match three winners and scoops 80 euro. This weekend's jackpot rises to 1,070 euro.
