Letterkenny AC Club Notes
Week 26
June 2009
IT is a busy time both on and off the track for the club. With the Grand Prix series in full swing the latest 5k race was in Lifford last Friday night.
Twenty three athletes from the club took part. Pauric McKinney finished third and Johnny Patton was close by in 5th place. There were personal best runs for Garvan McCloskey and the ever improving Aidan McKenna.
Well done to all. Congratulations to Paul Toner who had a superb half marathon run at the weekend clocking a time of 82 minutes in Larne. Tonight the action is in Ballybofey for a 5km run. Plans are well advanced for the Flag Day, on Saturday, August 15. All adult members are asked to give at least an hour of their time for the collection around key points in the town.
Plans are also now in place for the club social-barbeque night at the clubhouse on Saturday, July 4. For further information contact C.J McGinley (087-2267167) who is being helped out by a number of club members on this exciting venture.
This promises to be a great night’s crack of music, fun and food. The event gets underway at 6.30 pm and all juveniles and adult members and friends are welcome to attend. There is a cover charge of €10 per person or €20 per family for club funds.
The lotto numbers this week were 3, 4, 7 and 18. There were no jackpot winners. Match three winners were: Erin McFadden, Rahan. The jackpot this week in The Glencar Inn is €1,250
