Mark English sets new Donegal record

Letterkenny AC's Mark English set a new Donegal record for 800 metres on Thursday night at a track meeting in Dublin. The teenager clocked 1.49.7, with his team mate, Darren McBrearty posting a time of 1.50.01. There was also personal bests for Ruairi Finnegan who ran 1:54 in the 800 metres and Ciaran Doherty who registered 9:16.9 in the 3,000 metre steeplechase.

Patrick Brennan's time for the 1,500 metres was 3:54.
