Letterkenny AC Club Notes

McKinney places sixth as
Brennan makes debut

February 2010

Letterkenny AC's senior men's team gave a good account of themselves at the Northern Ireland and Ulster Senior cross country championships at Stormont on Saturday. Pauric McKinney, runner up in the Northern Ireland and Ulster masters championships two weeks earlier, placed sixth in a race won by Twin Towns man, Gary Murray, who led St Malachy's to team gold.

Patrick Brennan made an impressive debut in the black and amber colours - the former North Sligo man placed an impressive 11th in a good quality field. Brian Thursby Phelam finished 38th, with Ciaran Bannon three places back in 41st.

There was no winner of the club's weekly lotto jackpot drawn in the Glencar Inn on Saturday. The numbers drawn were 10, 12, 15 and 21. Michael Carr c/o Blake's Bar matched three numbers and wins 80 euro.
