Black finishes third in Finn Valley Handicap

Letterkenny AC’s Michael Black placed third in the Finn Valley Boxing Day Handicap.

Because of the poor conditions, the organisers decided to reduce the distance from 5K to 4K and started all runners at the one time.

Ian Ward from the host club won the race in 12:36, with Kieran Carlin also from Finn Valley in 12:41 and Michael Black placing third in 12:42.

Kieran Bannon, now based in Dublin, placed sixth in 13:19. A total of 217 runners and 200 walkers took path in annual event.
