Letterkenny AC Club Notes
December 2009
Letterkenny AC was well represented in the national novice men’s cross country championship held in Coleraine on Sunday afternoon. Dan Mooney (45th in 22:49) was the team’s first counter over the 6K distance and he was backed up by Ciaran O Sullivan (59th in 23:14), Neil Faulkner (72nd in 23:28), Ciaran Bannon (73rd in 23:29), Paul McGlinchey (74th in 23:30), Charlie Page (24:11), Gavin Crawford (100th in 24:26) and Jason King (121st in 25:41). The team finished 11th out of 15 teams.
The club will hold its annual turkey trot on Sunday week, December 20th. The race will start at the Ramada Hotel at 10:30am, with registration at Aura from 9.30 am. Entry fee is €8.00 and the ten runners who run closest to their predicted time will win a turkey. The presentation will be held at Aura immediately after the race.
Well done to all who made the recent fashion show, well organised by Sharon Bradley, a huge success. This has now become an annual event and along with being an important fund raiser, it also doubles up as an enjoyable social occasion form members and friends of Letterkenny AC.
The numbers drawn in the weekly club lotto were 5, 12 14 and 20. Dan Hartnett c/o Blake’s Bar was the only match three winner and receives 80 euro.
