Mark secures place in Youth Olympic Games Final

Letterkenny AC's Mark English has qualified for Sunday's 1,000 metre final in the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore when placing fourth in the heat in the early hours of Tuesday morning. His time was 2:25:39 and the heat was won in 2:24:40. Mark was sixth fastest of the twelve qualifiers. His final takes place on Sunday at 3.20 am Irish time (10.20 am local time) and can be seen live on youtholympicgames.org
