Letterkenny AC - Club Notes
August 2009
On Saturday, the club is holding a major fundraising Flag Day in Letterkenny. The fundraiser is essential to help out in offsetting the costs incurred by our tremendous juvenile athletes and other club expenditure., The club appeals to all members to come out and support this event and help raise much needed funds for LAC. Anyway, congratulations to all involved in organising the Danny McDaid 15k last Sunday. The race-fun run was an overwhelming success and exceeded all expectations. We had 173 entries this year compared to 97 last year.
Thanks to our main sponsor, David Crumlish of Crumlish Appliances and Repairs, Thorn Road, Letterkenny for his generous sponsorship. Well done to the club officers, gardai, stewards, water station staff, race entry staff, time and result keepers and everyone who helped out in any way on the day., The great turnout gave everyone in the club a great lift. , Greg Roberts from Derry was the winner of the 5th annual Danny McDaid 15k road race-fun run in Letterkenny on Sunday.
