Letterkenny AC Club Notes
August 2010
THE focus this weekend switches to the prestigous Danny McDaid 15k road race in conjunction with Crumlish Appliances, Sales and Repairs.
Over 200 athletes took part last year and we’re hoping the figure could be exceeded this time round. Registration will take place from the Aura Leisure centre beginning at 10a.m and the race starts at 11.15.
On Friday night the Grand Prix series continued with a 5k in Ramelton. Letterkenny's Ciaran Doherty continued his winning ways on Monday evening with victory in the Killybegs 5K in 15:37. Second was Ivan Toner, also from Letterkenny AC in 16:52, with Tir Chonaill AC's Karl Griffin third in 17:23.
Letterkenny AC's Shelia Regan was the fastest woman and posted a time of 19:30. Well done to Patrick Brennan who took the honours in the Tommy McBride Memorial 5k in Carrigart.
The lotto numbers last weekend were 1, 5, 8 and 15. The match three winner was Brian Kelly, C/O John Bosco. The jackpot this Saturday night in The Glencar Inn is €1,200.
